Here at the 302, our community means so much to us. We’re proud to be a part of the kind of extended community that really strives to make a difference…the kind of community who cares about its neighbors…who worries about those less fortunate… who feels for those going through hard times….and who wants to help.
We are pleased to continue with our efforts to support different charities, schools, organizations or causes, by starting the Sunday Charitable Dinners. Every month we will choose one of your causes to promote and support. At the end of the month, we will add up the total food sales for each Sunday in the month and donate 10% of that to them. We will also help them in raising even more money, with the Drive-Up Chicken Dinner fund raiser during their month.
December’s organization:
Starting Point: Services for Victims of Domestic & Sexual Violence… a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring quality services are provided to victims of relationship violence and sexual abuse; preventing future relationship violence; promoting social change; and encouraging accountability and education for perpetrators and stalkers. In addition to operating a shelter for victims and families, services include a 24 hour telephone support line, court and hospital advocacy, Child Advocacy Center accompaniment, education and prevention programs in schools, professional and community education programs, extensive volunteer training, and a transitional housing program for families leaving shelter.
